UACT was started by like-minded people who came together when the full-scale war began — to help those who fled settle in, be useful to society and get through a hard time together.

Questions people often ask

Do I need to speak English?

No. You can speak or write to us in Ukrainian. If you speak another language, ask us and we’ll look for a way to help.

Do I have to pay?

No. All our help is free.

Can you help if I don’t live in London?

Yes. A lot of our help happens by phone and email, so we can support people across England and Wales.

Will anyone else find out what I tell you?

We keep what you tell us private and only share it with your permission — unless someone is at serious risk of harm.

When can I contact you?

Our helpline is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. You can email us at any time.
